Gracilis Bamboo, also known as Slender Weaver’s Bamboo, is one of the most popular screening bamboo varieties due to its elegant appearance and compact growth habit. It features tall, straight, and slender green culms with fine, narrow leaves that create a soft, graceful look—perfect for modern gardens.
This bamboo grows quickly and naturally forms a dense, upright clump, making it ideal for privacy screens in narrow spaces. It typically reaches 5–8 meters in height while remaining tight at the base (usually 1–1.5 meters wide). Gracilis is non-invasive because it is a clumping bamboo, spreading slowly and safely without running roots.
It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers regular watering, especially during establishing. Once mature, it is hardy and low-maintenance. With its lush foliage and vertical form, Gracilis Bamboo is an excellent choice for hedges, tropical landscapes, and creating natural green walls.
